For this project, we have been assigned to make a new Tiktok filter using Blender. There are a million things I've thought to make in Blender, but when it comes to Tiktok filters in particular, I have one idea that stands out. I want to make Mr Wobble and Dark Wobble.
For most people who read this, they will have no idea what I'm talking about. Basically, my favorite band is called Ganja White Night. Over the years, GWN has created a whole world surrounding their music called the Wobbleverse. Most of the singles they have released in recent years have come with an accompanying music video featuring Mr Wobble. When you watch their shows live, those songs use the music video for their LED wall visuals, and at their most recent Red Rocks show, they had laser projections of Mr Wobble on the rocks as well.
Mr Wobble is the protagonist in each of the stories told in the videos, and Dark wobble is the villain. I highly recommend checking out some of their music videos on youtube to see what I mean.
So my idea is to model both Mr Wobble and Dark Wobble in Blender, then in the Tiktok filter, I want them to be standing on the subjects shoulders as a sort of reference to an angel and devil on your shoulders. It may be a bit too far down the line to decide now, but it would be fun to give Mr Wobble some wings and a halo, and give dark wobble a devil tail and horns. Ideally, I would animate them whispering in the ear of the subject as well, but that is a last priority.
I'm really excited to try this out and I hope it works how I'm picturing.
