Brainstorm #1

As you can imagine, it is a little tricky to brainstorm a project like this for a couple of reasons. The first is that we haven't gotten through all of our labs for the project yet, so I'm still waiting to see what possibilities this project could hold for my art. The second is that a lot of what we're doing is largely out of our control. That being said, I've already made some glitched images that I really like, and I'm starting to get an idea of what to do.

I'm planning on making dozens of images, then only selecting the cream of the crop for my project post. I've already found that some of my images share some of the same qualities like color and aesthetic, so I'm hoping to get more that fit well together. Maybe I'll have a few groups of images, with each group going fitting within a similar aesthetic. The two images below are good examples of what I mean by sharing qualities. I'm going to try not to force any styles and let each image do whatever it wants. Then once I have a bunch of images, then I'll arrange them as I see fit.

I like how these two turned out because although both glitches were made with Audacity, I used different effects, and used these effects in different ways, but the images ended up glitching in a similar way. I definitely like the glitches produced by Audacity more than using TextEdit, but I'll try and get a wide variety of methods included in my project. I'm also excited to see what the upcoming labs hold.
